Social media star Zuza dies aged 14 as heartbreaking statement is issued

The social media community is mourning the tragic loss of Zuza, who passed away at the tender age of 14. Her family has released a poignant statement about this monumental loss.

Zuza Beine was a beloved content creator on Instagram and TikTok, where she shared her battle with cancer and amassed a following of 4.4 million across both platforms.

She frequently uploaded videos from her home and the hospital, including 'day in my life', 'get ready with me', and vlogs that captivated her dedicated audience eager for her updates.

Zuza also utilized her platform to educate others about the realities of living with childhood cancer.

However, after enduring over a decade with acute myeloid leukemia, a cancer affecting the white blood cells, her family announced her passing yesterday.

The heartfelt statement, shared on social media on Tuesday (23 September), reads: "With broken hearts, we announce that Zuza passed away yesterday morning.

"She spent 11 of her 14 years battling a relentless cancer, yet she lived more fully and gratefully than most. Her existence transformed us, and her passing will too."

The message continued: "It's no coincidence that her last video captured her gratitude—a testament to a life filled with both beauty and hardship.

"Above all, she longed to be a normal, healthy child. What made her life so remarkable was her ability to face immense challenges, like her illness, and still live fully."

Instead of flowers, the family concluded by saying Zuza would prefer any donations to be directed toward her 'recently deceased uncle's wife and children'.

Donations can be made to the family through GoFundMe here.

The statement was accompanied by a photo of Zuza joyfully smiling in front of a breathtaking ocean sunset.
