The family of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez expressed they are 'heartbroken' after she was discovered deceased in the trunk of a car registered to the singer d4vd.
For those who are not yet familiar with the distressing story, the young girl had been missing since April 5, 2024, and was last seen in Lake Elsinore, California, at the age of 13.
Last week (September 8), police discovered a Tesla, allegedly registered to the 20-year-old musician, after responding to reports of a foul odor at a tow yard in Hollywood, Los Angeles.
Inside, they found a decomposed body that had been dismembered, which led to a death inquiry and investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner informed the press last week, according to BBC, that the remains were those of a female, approximately 5ft 2in tall (157cm).
It was noted that she had wavy black hair and was wearing a tube top and black leggings when she was found.
The remains have now been tragically identified as belonging to the 15-year-old, with officials still working to determine her cause and time of death.

As reported by the BBC, the car involved is registered to the singer d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke.
D4vd is an American singer who began sharing music on Soundcloud in 2021 and has achieved significant success with his songs gaining popularity on TikTok in recent years.
He is best known for his hit songs 'Here With Me' and 'Romantic Homicide,' and he has amassed several million followers on social media.
In light of the discovery, he canceled a show in Seattle that was part of his Withered tour, and it is currently unclear if the tour will proceed.

Police have not made any comments regarding a possible link between d4vd and Celeste, and TMZ reported that he is cooperating with investigators.
Now, Celeste's family has broken their silence following the revelation of her death and has established a GoFundMe to assist with funeral expenses.
The description of the fundraiser states: "As many of you know, Celeste Rivas Hernandez has been identified as the body discovered last week.

"She was a beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend. Her family is heartbroken and devastated by this tragic loss."
It further stated: "They are seeking assistance to lay her body to rest. Any contributions you can make are deeply appreciated."
The message was signed off by 'the Rivas Hernandez family,' and the GoFundMe has currently raised over $11,000 (£8,150).
"At this time, the LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner regarding the mode or manner of death. Therefore, we do not have any suspect information currently," the LAPD stated in a release to NBC News on Wednesday (September 17).
